The trouble is, how would you even be able to tell if Agent 42 came back wrong? He was kinda nasty in the first place… ;-)

So, as you might be able to guess from today’s update, I’ve been watching Marvel: Agents of Shield lately – it’s really interesting; I’ve seen a lot of commentary online decrying the series as boring, unimaginative, too derivative (though I’m not sure what those people were expecting from a series spinning off from the Avengers?), etc – but I gotta say I’m really loving it! I mean, sure episode 1 spent a lot of time calling back to the movies that led up to (and including) the Avengers what with the ‘Centipede Serum’, the Chitauri invasion, the role of S.H.I.E.L.D and whatnot, but compare and contrast this to the only other comic book universe series I’ve seen recently (Smallville) where the first episode had a young Clarke Kent tied to a crucifix in a paddock wearing a Kryptonite necklace and the letter ‘S’ emblazoned on his chest with red paint (hur hur hur, it stands for ‘Smallville’, get it? See what we did there? do you get it?).

This…seems a lot better. And it makes me laugh every episode, which is a real bonus!

What do you guys think about Agents of Shield? Maybe you’re someone who’s not so happy with it so far? Let us know why in the comments!

Don’t forget to tune in Wednesday for the next thrilling adventure with Average Joe! I wonder what the fallout of having a healthy Agent 42 in the house will be (and how much time has now passed since Strip #150)?

Catch ya then, Averaginos!
